How it works
Six steps. One human. Zero runaround.
You send a 60-second enquiry, a lending specialist calls to understand your business, and you compare the realistic options before deciding anything. Enquiring is free and doesn't affect your credit score.
- 01 day 0
Send a 60-second enquiry
Tell us what your business does, roughly how long you've been trading, what you turn over and what the money's for. No documents yet, and no impact on your credit score.
- 02 usually soon after
A lending specialist calls you
We'll ask about your plans, your trading, any property that could be security and anything we should know up front — past credit issues, IRD debt, seasonality. Then we'll tell you honestly which lane you're in.
- 03 same call or next
Compare what's realistic
You'll hear about the options that fit — an unsecured loan, a line of credit, a property-secured loan or a mix — including how each is repaid and what it costs. Every loan is priced on your situation, and we go after the sharpest option available for it.
- 04 your call
Apply formally (if you want to)
If you decide to go ahead, the lender completes its checks with your consent: bank statements for unsecured options, property details for secured ones, ID and business details for both.
- 05 fast when ready
Approval and funding
Once approved and documents are signed, funds are paid out. Some unsecured decisions come back the same day; property-secured funding can be possible within 24 hours of approval in some cases.
- 06 the fun part
Build the thing
Stock ordered, machine installed, campaign live, IRD paid. If you've got a line of credit, it sits there ready for the next gap.
What you'll need
Paperwork depends on the lane.
Unsecured loan or line of credit
- Usually around six months of business bank statements
- Business details: structure, NZBN if you have one, what you do
- ID for the owners or directors
- A clear idea of the amount and purpose
Best for businesses trading 6+ months with steady deposits. The amount is sized to turnover; weaker credit is considered.
Property-secured loan
- Details of the NZ property — yours or a supporting party's
- What's owing on it now, if anything
- What the funds are for and how they'll be repaid
- ID for borrowers and any supporting party
$20,000 to $1m, first or second mortgage. No financials or tax returns needed for the initial assessment.
What does it cost?
Every loan is priced on the individual situation: how long you've traded, your turnover and credit history, whether there's property security, the amount, the purpose and how it'll be repaid. That's why we don't publish rate tables — a generic number wouldn't be your number. What we do is look for the sharpest option available for your business and explain every cost clearly before you decide.
How to make it faster
- Keep all your sales flowing into one business bank account.
- Have quotes, pro-forma invoices or a short plan for the money.
- Mention anything unusual early — a past default, IRD arrears, a seasonal dip.
- If a supporting party is involved, talk to them before the call so everyone's on the same page.

Process questions
How long does the whole process take?
It depends on the lane. Some unsecured decisions come back the same day once a lender has your bank statements. Property-secured loans take a little longer to set up because the property needs to be assessed, but funding can be possible within 24 hours of approval in some cases.
Do I have to go ahead after I enquire?
No. The enquiry is free and there's no obligation. If the options don't suit you, you simply don't proceed.
When does a credit check happen?
Not at the enquiry stage. A lender may run a credit check later, with your consent, if you decide to make a formal application.
Can I talk to someone before filling anything in?
Of course. Call us on 03 667 4222 and we'll talk it through.
Step one takes about a minute.
Start the enquiry now. A lending specialist will call to talk through the rest.
